Wayne and Kaye have been married for 25 years. Wayne and Kaye have three teenage children. True to life experiences in family and ministry bring a wealth of common sense and down to earth wisdom to their leadership. Wayne received a Diploma of Ministry in 1975 and Diploma of Biblical and Theological Studies in 1980. He is currently finishing off his Bachelor of Theology. Wayne was the National Assemblies of God Evangelist for three and a half years, his crusades helped to establish five new Assemblies of God churches. In 1986 he planted the Papatoetoe Assembly of God church (now Good News Church Manukau City) of which he is still Senior Pastor. In 1998 Wayne created Good News Ministries as an on going expression of his desire to continue to function as an Evangelist to the Body of Christ. This gives the opportunity for Wayne to continue being involved in church planting and evangelism. Wayne continues to serve the Assemblies of God as a faculty member of Advance Ministry Training Centre and is a member of the curriculum committee. We are pleased to
introduce Pastor Eddie and Kuini Yoshida who have joined Good News Church
Manukau City as Board Director and Associate Pastor. Eddie's personal address is: eddie@goodnews.org.nz
This is Ken and his much much better half Serena. They have been married 14 years and now have a family of two boys and a little girl. Serena is one of our worship leaders and singers. She is skilled in computer work and desktop publishing which we make the most of. Ken serves Good News Manukau as an Associate Pastor and Good News Ministries as Crusade Co-Ordinator. His job description covers everything that no one else is doing, as well as, Youth Pastor, Sound Man, Singer, and Worship Leader. Ken and Serena have been involved in youth ministry since 1989. Their first group had a massive attendance of 5 teenagers (that is if all of them turned up). After 2 years of running that group they were demoted to serving at a higher level (kingdom thinking) and Pastored their next group till it numbered in the millions (well hundreds), actually it was around 120, but their effort was outstanding. In the late 1990's Ken was the Director of Auckland Youth Alive, the youth movement of the NZ A/G. While successfully losing his hair doing Youth Alive he also successfully achieved a Diploma in Theological Studies at Advance Ministry Training Centre (AMTC). This rocketed Ken into Stardom, now his two sons Daniel (aged 6) and Asher (aged 4) not only think he is the toughest man in the world, they also think he is the smartest. On completing his course at AMTC Ken planted a Church on Auckland's North Shore. Ken and Serena are now back at Good News Manukau Pastoring the youth of the church and making themselves useful.
