Good News New Hope
in the Civic Center

The Good News of the Gospel for the Cook Islands is now being shown through the New Hope Church which was established in 2001.

New Hope is one of the first independent full Gospel Churches to be planted in the Cook Islands for a number of years and proves that the best form of evangelism is through church planting.

This young church is full of people who are coming into a new understanding of what salvation and a relationship with God really means on a personal level.

Not bound with historical tradition or the habit of church attendance, this new congregation is in celebration and excitement of pioneering a 21st century church that is unique to the Cook Island people and culture.

The location of the church, in the centre of town, will make it easy for those who live in Rarotonga and who visit Rarotonga, to avail themselves with good bible preaching and honest heart-felt worship.

New Hope has a vision for the Cook Islands and the South Pacific region.

Junior & May Areai

Every church needs an Administrator no matter what the size. Junior plays that role in New Hope Church.
Junior works for the Government of the Cook Islands as the Ministerial Liaison Officer to the Honourable Norman George MP.
Junior has been involved in other church plants outside of the Cook Islands and is now
"at home" working "at home".

Pastors Nga, Wayne & Henry

Evangelist Wayne Buchanan and associate Pastor Ken Thomsen from Good News Ministries recently conducted a church inauguration service and dedicated the Pastoral team to the work of the ministry.
This was a part of a 4 day Good News Crusade which brought 20% growth to the church through new converts and others who joined the church as a direct result of the crusade.
