Welcome to Good News Family Church Manurewa
We are a cross-cultural Church bringing Good News to the many cultures found in Manukau City.
Our focus is to build individuals who have been hurt by the pressures of life and place them into a loving caring family Church for restoration and healing through the Power of Jesus Christ.
Our Pastoral
care flows to our people through the many groups and activities in our
Church.

Pastoral care, love for people, care for the Church. Ps Mark and Hazel are true shepherds that tend to the flock of God. Mark and Hazel's ministry is one of love and compassion. Their desire for truth and grace coupled with their integrity has produced a Church family that cares for each other and who's hearts are towards their community.

need a father's guidance and care, a mother's shoulder to lean on this

Fatu
and Savali are Ps Marks second in command. They are responsible for starting
most of the church ministry that exists today, from the band, to the youth,
to the choir, and also assisting the Pastor in the day to day running
of the church not to mention the cell group they run in their home.
Fatu also volunteers his service as a church secretary while Savali plays the piano for the church band. Besides all this they both hold down full time secular employment, Fatu as a supervisor and Savali as an accountant. They have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl, aged from 9-1.

Through their commitment to the Good News, a cross-cultural church
life has been created, that is designed to meet the needs of those
who are wanting to experience their faith journey in an environment
of pastoral love and care. |

Good News Family Church has developed one of the most anointed choirs that has been in the Assemblies of God for many years. They have been asked to sing many times and could be away from the Church all the time if all the demands for them were met.
The blend of voices from this choir is very powerful to bring the presence of the Lord in conferences, crusades and church services throughout the Body of Christ.

Talk about gospel music and singing. When they get started no body wants them to stop. I'm talking rocking for Jesus. All the old favorite's and the latest songs played for the glory of God with a special anointing that is Good News Family Church Manurewa.

Our vision is multicultural which means that we, as the church of Jesus Christ, must realise that Jesus died for the whole world, therefore it is essential for us to break down every wall of prejudice, racism and hypocrisy, and accept every race, tongue and colour, into our fellowships in order to please the Father heart of God, who sent his only son to die for us that we may have eternal life.
Our Mission
To disciple people through evangelism for membership in Jesus' family, nuturing them through worship and praying together in fellowship, equipping them to Christ-like maturity for Ministry and Mission, both within and without, in order to bring glory to God.
Hazel and I are Samoans, and the Lord has opened our eyes to see beyond our own culture and reach out to "whosoever would believe" in Christ, for they with us shall not perish but have eternal life. We firmly believe in our own culture which is very unique and it's our heritage from the Lord. We will encourage your own individual culture the same as ours, but these will all be under the kingdom culture, under the Sovereign rule of the Master, the Lord Jesus Christ.
